PRDnationwide’s boutique development, Ocean 272 Apartments is now complete. The development includes 28 stunning beachside apartments located in the heart of Scarborough.
Scarborough has always been an underrated beachside suburb in Perth. The area has always had so much potential, but for years the esplanade remained a fairly desolate place with many vacant tenancies along the waterfront.
That’s about to change. Scarborough is currently undergoing a huge transformation which will turn the suburb into a destination attracting local and overseas visitors. The Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority (MRA), along with City of Stirling, are creating new amenities along foreshore, including retail, cafe’s and bars, a children’s playground with waterpark, and a $26 million pool.
Scarborough real estate has always been in high demand, but even moreso now as buyers and investors recognise the potential uplift following completion of the Scarborough Redevelopment.
“It’s going to be incredibly exciting in a few years when all the infrastructure is in place,” PRDnationwide Perth Project Marketing director Angus Murray said.
“We’ve brought a real beach feel to the apartments at Ocean272, with whites and blues a constant reminder of the beach and the ocean. The rooftop barbeque terrace has also come up amazingly well, with panoramic views of the beach.”
Marketing Manager Caroline Stoddart said because apartments are now complete, buyers can move into Ocean272 the day they settle.
“This boutique development of only 28 apartments is within walking distance to cafes and bars, and only 250m back from the beach,” she said.
“Ocean272 is perfect for people who love the beach and love the outdoors. Residents can walk across the street and be at the beach in less than two minutes – a typical trait of Scarborough locals. Residents will be able to go for a morning swim every day, or sit on the beach in the evenings and watch the sunset.”
Apartments include stone benchtops, engineered timber floorboards, and plenty of natural light due to the apartments north-west orientation.
The apartments fit in well with Scarborough, a place that, according to Mr Murray, offers something to everyone from the young to the retirees.
“The area has come ahead in leaps and bounds in recent years, and has a lot more to offer in terms of quality of life. All this, combined with it’s proximity to the CBD, has made the area highly desirable.”
Located at 16/272 West Coast Highway at Scarborough, prices start from $459,000 for a ground floor apartment, and go up to $492,000 for a one-bedroom apartment on the second level with northwest ocean views.
With over 65 percent of the apartments already sold off-the-plan, only 10 one bedroom apartments remain available.
A display apartment at Unit 16/272 West Coast Highway can be viewed at Ocean272 Saturdays from 11am-12pm or by appointment.
